Itanagar is well connected by Daily Bus services from Guwahati (381 km) and other places of Assam. Arunachal State Transport Buses are plying throughout Arunachal, Assam and Meghalaya.

There are facilities of Foreign Tourist Circuits. Foreign tourist- groups of four or more persons are allowed to visit Itanagar, Ziro, Along, Pashighat, Miao and Namdapha.

 

Per person per day tariff charged by the Department of Tourism from the foreign tourists is US $150 or US $50 with or without food and lodging respectively to travel on the identified tour circuit and for trekking etc. for a group of ten US $5000 on pro rata. The rates are subject to modification.

 

Internal Transport: Tourist/deluxe buses are available on rent from the Directorate of Tourism. A few other transport agencies rent out tourist cars and coaches. Taxi is available at all tourist points. Three wheelers are the most common vehicles in Naharlagun and Pashighat.
